Iraqi National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji emphasized, in a speech delivered during the Conference on Strengthening National Identity and Promoting a Sense of Belonging to the Nation—attended by sheikhs and dignitaries of Iraqi tribes—the importance of تعزيز national identity and reinforcing a sense of belonging to Iraq. He also called for unifying the national discourse and promoting the values of citizenship, tolerance, and coexistence.
He further praised the prominent national role played by Iraqi tribes throughout various stages, stressing that the current phase requires greater cohesion and solidarity among the Iraqi people.
He explained that the strength of the state stems from the unity of its society and the awareness of its citizens of their responsibilities toward their homeland, which contributes to enhancing security and stability and moving forward in the process of development under the umbrella of a unified Iraq.
