An expanded international conference in New York on ending Al-Hawl camp

The largest international conference on ending Al-Hawl camp was held in New York and urged countries to withdraw their nationals from the camp in preparation for its closure.
180 countries, 25 international organizations, 11 international organizations, and 8 civil society organizations participated in the expanded conference.
Iraq was represented at the conference by a high-level Iraqi government delegation, headed by the President of the Republic and membership
Minister of Foreign Affairs
And National Security Advisor
And the Minister of Immigration
And the Supreme Judicial Council
And the Prime Minister's Office
And the heads of international and governmental technical groups working in the Al-Hawl camp file to restore Iraqi families from northeastern Syria to Iraq.
Holding the conference represents the first event of its kind in the world regarding the Al-Hawl camp file and the implementation of the Iraqi government’s decision to dismantle the camp and end its existence. The conference also strengthens Iraq’s international standing and confirms the international community’s continued support for Iraq.
The conference addresses three important topics: informing the world of the threat that Al-Hawl camp represents to international peace and security, highlighting Iraq’s successful experience in repatriating its families from the camp, and urging the remaining countries to withdraw their nationals from the camp, in preparation for closing it and ending its existence.

Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi submitted his financial disclosure statement today, Thursday, to the head of the Federal Integrity Commission, as part of his commitment to the principles of transparency and the implementation of the Commission and Illicit Enrichment Law No. 30 of 2011, as amended. Al-Zaidi affirmed his commitment to eliminating all cases of conflict of interest within the legally specified timeframes, making him the first within his ministerial cabinet to comply with the legal procedures. Leaders of the Coordination Framework held an emergency meeting at the office of Hadi Al-Amiri, attended by Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi, to discuss political developments and upcoming obligations. The meeting included congratulations to Al-Zaidi on his government gaining the confidence of Parliament, while emphasizing the unity of the Coordination Framework and the continuation of joint efforts to support political stability and protect the country’s higher interests. The participants also expressed appreciation for the efforts of former Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani during his tenure, while the Framework decided to proceed with completing the ministerial cabinet after the Eid holiday in accordance with political understandings and constitutional procedures. On the security and regional fronts, the Framework renewed its rejection of any attacks targeting neighboring or Arab countries, calling for respect for state sovereignty and the completion of investigations and measures necessary to safeguard Iraq’s security and stability.
